Raw starch main introduction

Etherified starch is a starch derivative in which the hydroxyl groups of the starch molecule and the hydroxyl groups of hydrocarbons are linked by oxygen atoms. There are many varieties of it, among which there are three main types of industrial production, namely carboxymethyl starch, hydroxyalkyl starch and cationic starch. Cationic Starch-Paper sizing

The positive charge of cationic starch enables it to combine with negatively charged starch to adsorb and keep other negatively charged additives on the matrix. If positively charged cationic starch is used for sizing, it not only has good adhesion, but also has the effect of eliminating static electricity. Cationic starch has been widely used in warp yarn sizing abroad. For example, cationic composite modified starch, that is, before cationic modification, starch is first subjected to pyrolysis and polymerization to obtain low-viscosity starch, and then cationic modification is performed.
